After finishing his general surgery training in New York, Dr. Schiff relocated to the west coast and opened a general surgery practice in Torrance, California, where he practiced for 20 years. He was then recruited to join the Association of South Bay Surgeons in 1999. Dr. Schiff’s 30+ years of surgical expertise include extensive experience in the treatment of a variety of problems in the field of general surgery, including laparoscopy, hernias, breast surgery, and cancer. In addition, Dr. Schiff has been very active in hospital committee work, attending breast cancer and general surgery weekly tumor board meetings. Furthermore, he has taken a leadership role in organized medicine at the local and state level, and is a member of several surgical societies, including the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
