Dr. Houman Solomon completed his Doctorate of Medicine as well as two Master of Science degrees (Pathology and Applied Physiology) at Rosalind Franklin University in Chicago in 2002. After graduating from medical school, he completed his Internship and Residency in General Surgery at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, CA. Dr. Solomon is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He also completed a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic, Bariatric and Robotic Surgery (Minimally Invasive Surgery) at Standford University Medical Center.
His main areas of interest include Bariatric surgery and incorporation of laparoscopic and robotic techniques in gastrointestinal, hernia and cancer surgery. Dr. Solomon has authored numerous publications in various areas of surgery throughout his career. He is a member of several surgical societies including American College of Surgeons, American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). He was recruited to join the Association of South Bay Surgeons in 2008. |
